Becca’s birthday is on Thursday. I am heading up to her’s tomorrow night after work. We’re back on Saturday morning for her party in town at the beauty parlour - women and their vanity!! Then back to work Monday and off on holiday Monday night!! Woohoo 
Well this week seem’s to have been quite successful. It’s certainly been the most interesting week since I’ve been here.
I have been quite a bit more productive than last year’s placement student according to staff and from what I’ve seen.
We have been optimising the spreadsheet and have implemented a way to to see how long a product has been inactive. This will help us delete products that are no longer needed and hence cut down the size of the spreadsheet. It has been a while since any housekeeping has been done on it.
We are still be kept in the dark about the new website. This week I have realised just how much work there is to do on it before it can go live. There has been talk of it going live next week but it is nowhere near ready. When it does come in to service though some of the tasks the spreadsheet takes care of will become redundant.
Anyway it’s been a good week, hopefully it will continue.
Well today has gone better and I’ve quite enjoyed it even though it’s been very busy!
I have been involved with updating the new website, creating a gift voucher for tester’s of the new site and will be working on optimising the pricelist spreadsheet (down to 8MB from 13MB!) over the next few days. It’s a bit more interesting than just adding new products!
Well yesterday went quite well, just had a few little problems at the end of the day. So far so good!
