We are heading off to Becca’s for the weekend. Hopefully to enjoy the sun on the beach 
We shall see if that happens!
Everything’s getting a little busy again so we could with a good break. Hopefully this weekend will allow us to have just that!
We have now been approved for renting a house in Birkby! We will be moving in on 29th June. The house is only four years old and just down the road from where we are at the minute. It’s in great condition and is obviously well looked after.
We have gone for a normal rent agreement, rather than student, so that we can stay there for longer than 12 months. Becca and I see ourselves being in the Huddersfield area for at least 2 years so it made sense for us to switch to a normal rent agreement. Hopefully the house will be better looked after by the letting agent/landlord as well!
We visited our local ASDA at the weekend to do our weekly shop. I parked the car next to a Land Rover Freelander which wasn’t the best parked car in the car park but certainly wasn’t the worst. We went inside the shop and thought nothing of it.
When we returned we started to load the car up and I noticed the Freelander had left. Whilst loading the shopping into the car I noticed a nice big scratch on the rear quarter panel closest to where the Freelander had been parked. Needless to say no insurance details had been left, as you come to expect in today’s world! I don’t imagine that the driver of the said 4×4 even noticed that they had made contact with my car. How annoying?!
The final assignment for my placement is due in on 5th June! I need to get a move on and get cracking with it. I have been very busy doing lots of other little things such as having my birthday weekend off, looking for a house for next year and tinkering with computer components etc. over the last few weeks, now all I need to do is not get too distracted over the next four weeks!Once this assignment is in, all that remains of the Uni side of things for my placement is the final appraisal, diary entry and competency summary. This has to be completed for 5th July when my placement officially ends.
I have talked with my supervisor and I should be continuing to work for CCL up until the first week of September. This allows me to keep the money coming in for a couple more months with the bonus of doing something a little more interesting for the remainder of my time with the company.
Sunday, 1st May, marked my 21st birthday! I had the Thursday and Friday off work to relax and head back to my parents’ for the weekend.
The weather was great allowing us to have the first two barbequeues of the year! We enjoyed a family meal at the Portabello Italian Restaurant in Tamworth, near the Castle, for lunch on the Sunday. It was great to catch up with my Godparents and everyone had a good time.My main presents were an iPod mini and some money. I shall using someof this money to put towards a laptop for my final year at uni (only afew months until I start back).
All in all it was a good weekend and I’m feeling more relaxed and alittle more focussed now ready to finish the remaining months of myplacement!
